Portrait of Dhaka

Progress
Adobe Photoshop, Collage. My twist on the traditional postcard. Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh and one of the many cities where my family lived. I've only gotten the opportunity to visit Bangladesh a handful of times when I was younger, and the corruption of factories left my families homeland in complete despair. This is what I know Dhaka as.
The Rana Plaza collapse of 2013 killed 1134 people and injured 2500. A fast fashion factory that took every shortcut possible to be inexpensive, from the construction of the building to the working condition of the workers. The tragedy was both a long time coming but avoidable.
